Oficina Bisonó, S.R.L. was founded on August 1, 1993 by Dr. Marcos Bisonó R. Haza in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. For more than three decades, the firm has provided high-level legal services to a diverse clientele of domestic and international corporations, investors, and individuals.

The firm is headquartered on the sixth floor of the District Tower on Calle José Brea Peña, near Avenida Winston Churchill in Santo Domingo — the commercial heart of the Dominican Republic. Since 2009, we have maintained a dynamic office in Punta Cana-Bávaro, allowing us to serve clients in the DR's premier tourism and real estate corridor.

Our practice spans the full range of civil and commercial law, with particular strength in real estate, corporate transactions, foreign investment, arbitration, and intellectual property. We handle criminal and labor matters on an exceptional basis.

Dr. Marcos Bisonó R. Haza founded Oficina Bisonó, S.R.L. in August 1993 and has directed the firm ever since, accumulating more than 30 years of professional practice in Dominican and international law.

Dr. Bisonó holds a Doctor of Laws degree with Cum Laude honors from the first graduating class of the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) School of Law — one of the Dominican Republic's most prestigious law faculties. He further completed the Management Program for Lawyers at the Yale School of Management, equipping the firm's practice with both legal and business acumen.

His practice encompasses civil and commercial law, litigation and arbitration, corporate transactions, and acquisitions and mergers — including the purchase, sale, and merger of banking and insurance entities. He has represented domestic and international clients across the full spectrum of Dominican commercial life. Dr. Bisonó is recognized for combining rigorous legal knowledge with a transactional, results-oriented approach: his goal in every engagement is not merely to provide advice, but to maximize his client's opportunities and translate legal strategy into concrete business outcomes.
